MY TRIP TO LAS VEGAS
NEVADA

The Flight

The flight from London to Nevada was about 10 hours, as someone who has a massive fear of flying the take off from London went pretty well for me! I spent most of the flight watching the on board entertainment and trying to sleep where I could.

The landing however was absolutely awful, we had a lot of weird turbulence while landing and I had a pretty bad panic attack, it was probably the roughest landing me and my dad have ever experienced.

Luckily both the take off and landing on the way back were fine and I got to sleep a bit better on the way home other than a very rude man behind me kicking my chair and poking me. not cool man.

The Hotel

We stayed at the Golden Nugget hotel on Freemont Street and honestly it was beautiful. I much preferred the hotel being on Freemont street than if we had stayed on the main Vegas strip as it was super close to the outlet centres and the nightlife was great, we also has the benefit of being right next to some of the coolest hotels and casinos in my opinion.

One thing that lacked in the hotel was the breakfast or at least the one I had. The eggs were super runny like watery and the tea wasn’t the greatest but as a British lady I might just be picky! Other than that the staff were lovely, the room was lovely and overall the hotel was beautiful

I would defiantly stay at the Golden Nugget again, they had a couple of fish/shark tanks, a pool, a casino, an in house restaurant, a Chick-fil-a and a cute gift shop where I got a Golden Nugget jumper that I adore. 10/10 highly reccomend!

The Good Bits

We spent 10 days in Vegas and did a lot of fun stuff, we went to Rick Harrisons pawn shop, went up the Strat, went to Hogs and Heifers bar, went to pretty much every casino, saw jabberwockies, saw circa de solei, saw Ru Paul live, went to a pool party and much more.

My favourite part of Vegas was defiantly just the chilling out with my dad, sitting and smoking in casinos and getting food because the food out their was amazing!! I even brought some ranch home with me because I loved it so much.

I actually got lucky about halfway through the trip and won $1050 on a slot machine, I gave half to my dad and had pretty much won back all the money I had spent so far, so naturally we went shopping on the strip the next day and I spent a lot of money on things I really wanted.

overall with the shows, the food, the time with my dad and the whole experience of Vegas was amazing and I want nothing more than to go back as soon as I can!

The Not So Good Bits

One thing I will say for the people thinking of ever going to Vegas, as a woman I would never EVER go out alone in Vegas. I went out one time without my dad at about 8am and I got harassed by 3 men in about a 15 minuet period, the first being the worst who showed me a picture of his penis unsolicited. I also had to deal with creepy men even when I was waiting for my dad to come back from the bathroom so on that front I would just say to be careful and stay with someone or in a group because people have no chill out there.
